| Abstract: | This dissertation evaluates the social impact of the program "No Poupar Está o Ganho!" (nPEG) on financial literacy among children from 3rd to 6th grade in five regions of Northern Portugal. A quasi-experimental design was employed with an Experimental Group (EG) and a Control Group (CG), using the Attitudes and Financial Literacy Competencies Scale (EACPLF) as the assessment instrument. Results indicate a significant increase in financial literacy competencies in the EG, while the CG maintained equivalent levels. Over 60% of children in the EG showed improvement, exceeding the program's contractual target. The nPEG promoted not only technical knowledge but also attitudes, values, and decision-making skills in realistic contexts. | Description: | Esta dissertação avalia o impacto social do programa "No Poupar Está o Ganho!" (nPEG) na literacia financeira de crianças do 3.º ao 6.º ano em cinco regiões do Norte de Portugal. Utilizou-se um desenho quasi-experimental com Grupo Experimental (GE) e Grupo de Controlo (GC), recorrendo à Escala de Atitudes e Competências Próprias de Literacia Financeira (EACPLF) como instrumento de avaliação. Os resultados indicam um aumento significativo das competências de literacia financeira no GE, enquanto o GC manteve níveis equivalentes. Mais de 60 % das crianças do GE apresentaram melhoria, superando a meta contratualizada. O nPEG promoveu não apenas conhecimentos técnicos, mas também atitudes, valores e competências de tomada de decisão em contextos realistas. |
