Abstract

As part of the Professional Internship for the Master's Degree in Teaching Physical Education in Primary and Secondary Schools at the Sports College of the University of Porto, this report was prepared with the aim of documenting, analyzing, evaluating, and reflecting on all the work carried out during the 2023/2024 academic year at Senhora da Hora High School. Supervised teaching practice is a crucial stage in the personal and professional development of a trainee teacher, providing significant experiences and learning opportunities. In this sense, the present document represents a personal, original and authentic interpretation of the moments experienced throughout the academic year. The report is organized into chapters, and characterizes the entire surrounding environment, from the personal context to the institutional framework, describing the school cluster, the school itself, the internship team, and the resident and shared classes. Furthermore, the operational framework is explored, covering the conception of pedagogical practice, the planned teaching, and the evaluation process implemented. The activities developed by the internship team, as well as the trainee teacher's participation in school initiatives and the educational community, are also detailed throughout the document. In addition to the personal and reflective descriptions, a research project was also carried out with the aim of developing the trainee teacher's competence at a professional level, both through research skills and the ability to elaborate on a topic relevant to their pedagogical practice. In conclusion, this report marks the final year of my academic training, reflecting all the experiences lived during a demanding and challenging year, but also deeply enriching one, with significant contributions to my personal and professional life, marking the beginning of my career as a Physical Education Teacher.
