A viagem de uma tripulante inconformada na incessante procura pelo sucesso educativo: o confronto com a realidade do mundo docente

Abstract

"The journey of a discontented crew member in the relentless pursuit of educational success: the confrontation with the reality of the teaching world," is the title of this Internship Report, prepared as part of the Professional Internship Course curricular unit, within the Master's in Physical Education Teaching for Elementary and Secondary Education at the Faculty of Sports Science of the University of Porto. This document recreates the experiences of a Student-Intern at the moment of entering the teaching profession through supervised teaching practice. This journey of discovery, marked by the confrontation with reality, recounts the different phases that a crew member faced until finding the desired direction, which are represented by the various chapters of this document. "From the initial turbulence at take-off to the moment of stability, several challenges emerged throughout the journey, all of which were essential for the fulfillment of the crew member's dream: 'becoming a teacher.' Throughout the chapters, a starting point is established, which meticulously describes the motivations and goals that encouraged her to embark on this adventure, as well as all the moments and personal transformations that occurred along the way, making it so gratifying and rewarding." The relationship established with her passengers and fellow crew members, as well as the support from the Cooperating Teacher, who was her pilot on this journey, proved to be essential elements for its continuation. At the moment of landing, symbolizing the end of the Professional Internship, she reflects on the path taken, recalling the old days when she was just an introverted passenger, now transformed into a confident crew member, filled with new knowledge and skills, and ready to embark on new future adventures.
