Educação histórica: desafios epistemológicos para o ensino e a aprendizagem da História

Abstract

The main purpose of the line of research in history education is to contribute to an approach of history teaching that seeks to develop in students a dynamic mental attitude of «thinking historically ». The fundamental assumptions of this proposal are discussed here, namely from two central epistemological axes - historical thinking and educational thinking. In this wavelength, it is sought that the historical and educational assumptions here enunciated can work in convergence both at research and classroom levels. To better clarify this proposal, some examples of empirical studies in this area are referred to in order to desirably shed some light on (always difficult, always «tentatively») the path to move from theory and research to classroom practices.
