| Title: | Correlates of social blushing |
| Issue Date: | 1996 |
| Abstract: | The Blushing Propensity Scale (BPS) and a battery of personality measures were administered to 194 undergraduate subjects. There was some degree of overlap between the factor structure of the BPS obtained in the present study with factors obtained in previous research. In contrast to previous research, gender differences were obtained in blushing. Four predictors (shyness, centre of attention, sociability and social anxiety) accounted for 52% of the variance in blushing propensity scores. |
