| Abstract: | The present work consists in the execution of a project for the rehabilitation of an old house in the Cais de Vila Nova de Gaia. From the analysis and interpretation of the pre-existence, we search to build an answer under the form of a project, wich centers in two essential components: in one hand the preservation and the recovery of the building, on the other hand, its adaption to the new program and the actual confort needs. The practical component emerge at the same time as the analysis and theorical investigation, since is the case study motivates the reflection about the inherent problems in old building's rehabilitation. |
| Description: | O presente trabalho consiste na realização de um projecto de reabilitação de uma casa antiga no Cais de Vila Nova de Gaia. A partir da análise e interpretação da pré-existência, procuramos construir uma resposta sob a forma de projecto que se centra em duas componentes fundamentais: por um lado a preservação e recuperação do edifício, por outro, a sua adaptação ao novo programa e exigências actuais de conforto. A vertente práctica surge paralelamente à análise e investigação teórica, uma vez que o caso de estudo motiva a reflexão sobre as problemáticas inerentes à reabilitação de edifícios antigos. |
