| Issue Date: | 2026-07-03 |
| Abstract: | This report was developed within the scope of the curricular internship of the Master's Degree in Educational Sciences, in the field of Socioeducational Intervention and Mediation. The internship experience reflects the integration into the Socioeducational Intervention Unit (UIS), an organization of the Municipality of Santa Maria da Feira. The intervention in this context focused on the development of an artistic project, whose main objective was to promote the educational, social, and cultural inclusion of migrant children and families within the school community, using the Theatre of the Oppressed as an intervention methodology, with a view to fostering educational success and a sense of belonging. During the development of the project, it was possible to establish contact with various entities. In addition to the creation of the project, the intervention also involved the monitoring of ongoing professional practices, thereby contributing to the implementation of existing projects in partnership with arts students from the Santa Maria da Feira School Cluster. In order to deepen the understanding of perceptions and experiences of participation in school-based projects, semi-structured interviews were conducted with professionals from the social sector. This qualitative approach enabled a critical and contextualized analysis of intervention contexts, highlighting their relevance in promoting a more just and inclusive society. The internship experience proved to be fundamental for the development of professional competences, emphasizing the role of Educational Sciences in socioeducational intervention within a municipal context. |
