| Abstract: | Maria de Lourdes Belchior was a professor and researcher of Portuguese Literature, History and Theory of Literature... She published two books of poetry, Gramática do Mundo (1985) and Cancioneiro para Nossa Senhora (1988), which are both very little known. Cancioneiro is an ensemble of prayers that manifest her deep spirituality. Gramática do Mundo is, moreover, a poetic reflection on what always fascinated her: the beauty of Language, Literature, Art, and the uncertain possibility of teaching it.
