Issue Date: 2025-11-03
Abstract: This school placement report, developed within the scope of the Master's Degree in Physical Education Teaching in Basic and Secondary Education, reflects the experience of pedagogical practice in a cooperating school located in the municipality of Porto. The school placement represented a fundamental stage in consolidating my teaching identity, providing direct contact with the school environment and the opportunity to apply and deepen the knowledge acquired throughout the course. Initially, I present a personal framework, sharing my life, academic, and sporting background, as well as the motivations that led me to choose the teaching of Physical Education. This is followed by a characterization of the cooperating school, the school placement group, and the classes I worked with (11th and 12th grades), information that is essential to contextualize my pedagogical practice. At an operational level, I address the theme of planning and my performance as a teacher, always considering the specificities associated with the professional Sports Technician course. I also dedicate a chapter to the research component, in which I analyze the application of motivational strategies in the classroom context and their impact on students' attitudes. Taken together, these elements highlight a demanding and enriching path that contributed to my professional development and teaching identity, reinforcing my belief in a student-centered education, where everyone feels valued and motivated to learn.
