O estágio como espaço de construção profissional: um caminho de perplexidades e descobertas

Abstract

This Internship Report marks the end of the Professional Internship, a curricular unit in the second year of the Master's Degree in Teaching Physical Education in Primary and Secondary Schools, at the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto, which took place at Laranjeiras Secondary School. The main aim of this work was to consolidate my professional training, allowing me to experience, analyze and reflect on the multiple dimensions of teaching Physical Education in a real context, by teaching two resident classes and a pilot class. Throughout this journey, I faced significant challenges that required the articulation of theoretical knowledge and different pedagogical practices, adapted to the characteristics and needs of the students. The difficulties encountered, the strategies implemented to overcome them and every interaction established in the school context were crucial to my development, not only as a future teacher, but also as an individual. This internship has been an intense process of discovery and adaptation, marked by the constant attempt to balance the demands of the curriculum with the contingencies of the educational context, strengthening my professional and ethical identity. I believe that this report reflects not only what I have taught, but above all what I have learned about the students, about the school and, in particular, about myself, on a path that is still under construction, but already based on a critical and reflective practice.
