| dc.description | O trabalho que se pretende realizar tem como objetivo o estudo e análise do processo de desenvolvimento urbano e arquitetónico da cidade de Bissau entre o pré-colonialismo e a pós-independência nos anos 70 na Guiné-Bissau. No período pós-independência, as cíclicas crises políticas têm dificultado o desenvolvimento socio-econômico do país, tendo como uma das consequências a privatização de edifícios públicos, desvalorização do património arquitetónico, sobretudo a concepção individualista, assim como, um crescimento urbano desordenado e irregular. A temática da Investigação surge como necessidade de enquadramento das questões urbanas em estudo a uma escala mais particular, no qual serão abordados problemas característicos da cidade, tradições locais, assentamentos urbanos distintos, disparidade arquitetónica, e as possíveis influências desde a colonização até a pós-independência, através de uma abordagem crítica, considerando o cruzamento entre diferentes paradigmas do urbanismo e da arquitetura, atendendo a levantamentos e possíveis comparações entre as obras locais, e obras que surgem contemporaneamente, neste mesmo contexto. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The work that is intended to be carried out aims to study and analyze the process of urban and architectural development of the city of Bissau between pre-colonialism and postindependence in the 1970s in Guinea-Bissau. In the post-independence period, the cyclical political crises have hindered the socio-economic development of the country, having as one of the consequences the privatization of public buildings, devaluation of the architectural heritage, especially the individualistic conception, as well as a disorderly and irregular urban growth. The theme of the Investigation arises as a need to frame the urban issues under study on a more particular scale, in which will be addressed problems characteristic of the city, local traditions, distinct urban settlements, architectural disparity, and the possible influences from colonization to post-independence, through a critical approach, considering the intersection between different paradigms of urbanism and architecture, taking into account. | |
