O papel da geografia na perceção dos alunos sobre as alterações climáticas e 'riscos' associados

Abstract

This chapter highlights the importance of formal education in understanding climate change (CC) and raising student awareness about the topic. It explores their perception of CC and the relevance of the subject of geography to acquiring knowledge on the topic in question. Using an online questionnaire (Google Forms), the authors explored the opinion of primary and secondary school students about CC. The results show that students have a general perception of CC, recognizing it as a significant environmental threat. However, they reveal gaps in students' knowledge and a reluctance to participate in awareness-raising actions, even though they recognize the importance of geography in understanding CC and its implications.
