O discurso informal: aplicações em português língua estrangeira (português europeu)

Abstract

The use of language in real and spontaneous situations is one of the most challenging aspects to master and study, due to its volatile, oral, and instantaneous nature. Research studies focusing on language usage and supported by real "corpora" are scarce, particularly regarding European Portuguese. In this article, we aim to identify and analyze specific forms of orality, such as repetitions, redundancy, hesitations, and other phenomena, based on a corpus of informal oral conversations that we are developing as part of our CorpOral-PLE project. This corpus will later be made available for use in Portuguese as a Foreign Language teaching contexts, to expose learners to a type of discourse that they often find difficult to understand and reproduce.
