| Abstract: | The present document reports on the professional internship undertaken during the 2023/2024 season at Futebol Clube do Porto, within the Under-18 team, as part of the Master's degree in Sports Training, specifically in High-Performance Training, at the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto. Throughout this report, I discuss my roles as well as the specific characteristics of the institution that hosted me, with the entire process being subject to both professional and personal reflections. Although I possess academic knowledge gained through years of study at the university, this internship also allowed me to experience a highly professional sports environment, something I had never encountered before. Additionally, it gave me the opportunity to understand and witness a training and development process where athletes and their growth are the central focus. Being part of a culture of excellence and working closely with the first team enabled me to absorb new knowledge, new methods, and, above all, to internalise the discipline and professionalism that everyone representing Futebol Clube do Porto must embody. This year of internship exceeded my expectations, and I am fully aware that it has been a year of growth and learning, which is still difficult to quantify. |
| Description: | O presente documento relata o estágio profissional realizado na época 2023/2024, no Futebol Clube do Porto, no escalão de Sub-18, no âmbito do Mestrado de Treino Desportivo, na vertente de Treino de Alto Rendimento na Faculdade de Desporto da Universidade do Porto. Ao longo deste relatório, é abordado aquilo que foram as minhas funções assim como especificidades da instituição que me acolheu, sendo todo o processo alvo de reflexões quer profissionais quer pessoais. Apesar de possuir o conhecimento académico fruto dos anos de estudo na faculdade, este estágio também me permitiu vivenciar um contexto desportivo altamente profissional, algo que nunca tinha vivenciado, assim como perceber e vivenciar um processo de treino e de formação onde os atletas e o seu desenvolvimento são o centro de todo o processo. O conceito de excelência onde estava inserido e a proximidade com a equipa principal, permitiu-me absorver novos conhecimentos, novos métodos e acima de tudo absorver o rigor e profissionalismo, que todos aqueles que representam o Futebol Clube do Porto devem possuir. Este ano de estágio superou as minhas expectativas, tendo a noção que foi um ano de crescimento e de aprendizagens, que ainda são difíceis de quantificar. |
