Transformações e Permanências. Casos de Estudo: casas de Quartéis - Elvas, Quinta da Malagueira - Évora

Abstract

The present study tries to understand the transformations and permanencies that punctuate in two architectural examples distanced by more than three centuries, the Casas de Quartéis in Elvas (four examples) and the project of the Quinta da Malagueira in Évora (two examples). The choice of the case studies is the result of a personal will of continuing the study about the Casas de Quartéis in Elvas, developed for the History of Portuguese Architecture subject. Although, it is not of the scope of this dissertation the analysis of historical matters, but the study of the architectural fundaments associated to the Casas de Quartéis and the Quinta da Malagueira's typology, which allow us to make an association between both.
