Abstract

Result of economic and technological evolution of society, the increasing mobility needs of increasingly individualized, the creation of new accessibility has become the most important factor which favors the growth of urban area, consequently the extensive nature, because the connections between distant points in the territory are now easier to establish. The most significant changes of territory results from the implementation of new road networks, which attempt to respond to increased flow of cars in residential areas, underpinned by new lifestyles. This new complexity of infrastructure is the major impulse of urban transformation. With them come new agglomerations, are catalysts for businesses and new ventures, along with their access, thanks to two main features - the high visibility and accessibility. In a more recent phase, with the introduction of the Industrial Zones around these networks, related to the new locational patterns, designed to industry and specialized services, has been an increase in the capacity of polarization of these areas leading to changing dynamics of urban growth and emphasizing a complex and polycentric urban system. The exposure of this phenomenon, in this work, will have as main source literature: "Metapolis" from Francois Ascher and "Splintering urbanism" from S. Graham.
