Abstract

The training unit "Heritage and Landscape. Management, Analysis, Design" proposes to foster interdisciplinary work areas - between Architecture, Art History, Landscape Architecture and Civil Engineering - essential for an understanding of the concept of heritage in its contemporary and extended sense (built and natural, material and immaterial) a driver for the sustainable development of cities, landscapes and territory. This training unit proposes a critical approach to the concepts of heritage and cultural landscape, including the historical and theoretical framework, methodological and project tools, as well as safeguarding and management tools. In this way, it is intended to deepen knowledge on the history and theories of intervention in built heritage in a broad sense with the purpose of establishing a contemporary practice of intervention in built heritage and landscape, integrating the comprehension of its multiple stratigraphy and stakeholders.
