Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyse the relationships between the themes and motifs shared in the last works, written during old age, but with a tenacious presence of childhood, by four renowned Spanish poets: Ángel González, Francisca Aguirre, Antonio Gamoneda and Félix Grande. Although different in style, they are united by a key fact which characterises their work: having experienced a childhood in which they were terrified by war and a post-war period which was brutal for the vanquished.
