Abstract

A generalized feeling of crisis and desire for renewal in Europe, which many writers have approached in their writings, also emerges in Europe by Romain Gary and Europeana by Patrik Ouredník, authors with a plural identity path. It will therefore be around these works, with retrospective glances on the Old Continent and bordering on a review of its cultural impact, that we will focus on the representations of Europe and Europeans to think about a possible cultural failure of which literature would be an echo.
