Territórios do Desporto: Visibilidades e Invisibilidades

Abstract

Te realization of an urban project in my last academic year within the discipline of project 5, served as a starting point for the development of this thesis. It was thus that the object of the present work is the case study in a particular area of intervention in the metropolitan area of Porto, specifcally in Oliveira de Azeméis; where the research topic is developed through a spatial analysis of the location and of the sports and leisure spaces in the municipality, thus allowing us to understand the great defcit of public spaces for sports and coexistence use. In the follow-up of the study of the city to be projected, the refection on the concept of the city and its paradigms constituted the paths for a frst research point to complement said case study. Te intangible dimension and the universe of utopia almost form a cosmic constellation that illuminates many of the moments of the dissertation. For the complementation of the sports feld within the project area, an interest arises in Olympic architecture, the development of diferent Olympic Games together with their evolution at the level of buildings / sports spaces. However, the emergence of each of the research arguments guides the empirical afrmation of a vision of the city through a dimension of urban thought.
