Siedlung Halen: O paradigma da resiliência no projeto de habitação

Abstract

This dissertation approaches the theme of housing in perspective of its form's resilience, as an essential phenomenon to the construction of a sustainable future. It is not about observing material resistance, but about finding the constants, the architecture capable of anticipating individual and collective needs, in a given cultural sphere. The research project is, therefore, conducted around the work Siedlung Halen by Atelier 5. A project understood as a resilient example, a modern, horizontal and typologically varied prototype since the foundation of its cooperative. We are interested in studying the hierarchy of assumptions that the domestic space and the housing complex contain: how they adapt to the contemporary routine in its intimate and private, public and collective dimension. Conclusively, to recognize the present testimony of the work, the urgency to identify the collective and proper values of the housing program, when the physical space lacks a common representation and the word community is represented, above all, virtually.
