| Abstract: | This text discusses several dimensions of grammaticalrefl ection in L1 learning, trying to answer why, when and how to teachgrammar, questions that are closely related. After analyzing the currentsituation in Basic and Secondary Education in Portugal, it is proposed thata systematic pedagogical practice, able to relate grammar to discourse,literary or not, and endowed with a technical and a laboratory component,will allow the awareness of grammar by students and will tend to increasetheir linguistic competence. |
| Description: | Neste texto, discute-se várias dimensões da refl exãogramatical na aula de língua materna, procurando responder ao porquê,ao quando e ao como ensinar gramática, perguntas que estão intimamenterelacionadas. Depois de se analisar a situação atual nos ensinos básico esecundário em Portugal, propõe-se que uma prática pedagógica sistemática,capaz de relacionar a gramática com o discurso, literário ou não, e dotadade uma componente técnica, laboratorial, permitirá a consciência informadada gramática e, tendencialmente, proporcionará uma mestria linguísticasuperior. |
