| Title: | Algunas reflexiones en torno a la gramática cognitiva en el aula de ELE |

| Abstract: | During the 80's, thanks to the work of Langacker y Lakoff, we began to face the difference between cognitive as opposed to generative grammar, which saw language as autonomous and independent from other cognitive functions, focusing on syntax (observation, collection of rules and systematization for a correct construction of a language structure). Cognitive Grammar (CG), in turn, states that the language procedure is no different from other cognitive functions within the human mind, as the primordial function of a language is to communicate meanings, transmitted in a linguistic way. The aim of this article is to cover some of the basic principles of CG, and illustrate them with practical examples in the teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language or other foreign languages. |
| Description: | ES: En los años 80, gracias a los trabajos de Langacker y Lakoff, comenzó el despegue de la gramática cognitiva (GC) en oposición a la gramática generativa, que concebía el lenguaje como un ente autónomo e independiente de otras funciones cognitivas, justifi cado a través de la sintaxis (observación, recogida y sistematización de reglas para la correcta formación de estructuras en una lengua). La GC considera, en cambio, que el procesamiento del lenguaje no se diferencia de las restantes funciones cognitivas que tienen lugar en la mente humana, por lo que la función primordial de la lengua es comunicar signifi cados, transmitidos por medio de formas lingüísticas. El objetivo de este capítulo es dar a conocer algunos de los principios básicos de la GC, ilustrándolos con ejemplos prácticos de aplicación a la enseñanza de ELE u otras lenguas extranjeras. |
