Traços referenciais de CP : o que nos diz a alternância entre interrogativs impróprias e relativas com antecedente

Abstract

The alternation between improper interrogatives and headed relatives raises the question of the syntactic, semantic and discursive properties that relate CPs and DPs. Taking into account proposals put forward in the last two decades, we assume that referentiality is the core property that these constituents share in the alternation cases under study. This feature is semantically present in the predicates that select these constituents and finds a structural counterpart in the syntax of these CPs and DPs.
