| Abstract: | The present Dissertation proposes to clarify the drawing process of a design exercise for the requalification of the factory Sampaio Ferreira, located in Riba de Ave. This project was developed as a contest entry proposal, directed both to Architects and Students, Desafios Urbanos'16. Influenced by the program and location, this essay explores the relation between the old factory's complex and the Village where it is set, taking into consideration it's patrimonial value and its presence in the collective memory of the population. The industrial esthetic was a starting point for a reflection on how to intervene in this type of buildings, taking inspiration in the visual form associated to these industrial structures. |
| Description: | A presente Dissertação esclarece o processo de desenho de um exercício de projecto para a requalificação da antiga fábrica Sampaio Ferreira, situada em Riba de Ave. O projecto foi realizado a propósito da participação no concurso, dirigido a Arquitectos e Estudantes, Desafios Urbanos'16. O trabalho influenciado pela condição programática e do lugar, aprofunda a relação entre o complexo da antiga fábrica e a Vila onde se insere, considerando o seu valor patrimonial e a sua presença na memória colectiva da população. O carácter industrial suscitou a reflexão acerca da intervenção nestes complexos, tendo ainda procurado inspiração na forma plástica associada a estas estruturas industriais. |
