Title: Uncertainty analysis based on sensitivity

Abstract: This article describes a finite element based formulation for the statistical analysis of theresponse of stochastic structural composite systems whose materials and loads are describedby random fields. A first-order technique is used to obtain the second order statistics for thestructural response considering means and variances of the displacement and stress fields ofplate or shell composite structures with several boundary conditions. Dominant effects on thestochastic characteristics are studied comparing the influence of different random parameters.
