| Title: | Steady State and Dynamic Analysis of a Microgrid System |
| Issue Date: | 2016 |
| Abstract: | In this chapter, an analysis of the behaviour of a future microgrid system is performed both in the steady state and dynamic domains. A real Low Voltage (LV) distribution feeder of a semi-urban area in Portugal is studied in order to define a suitable microgrid configuration to be implemented. This microgrid is constituted by a cogeneration system using a micro-turbine and several loads that can be exploited interconnected to or isolated from the main power grid. Future scenarios with the inclusion of additional dispersed generation units based on renewable energy sources (photovoltaic panels) are also analysed. The results obtained show that the proposed system has a satisfactory performance in both steady state and dynamic conditions both in interconnected and islanded operation. |
