Maximum principle for mixed constrained control problem

Abstract

Optimal control problems with equality mixed constraints and possibly nonsmooth data are considered. For such problems we report on two sets of necessary conditionsof optimality in the form of Maximum Principles. These two Maximum Principles, a strong form and a weak form, apply to different classes of problems. The conditions under which they are validated are compared. Furthermore, an outline of the proof of the weak Maximum Principle is given.
