Title: Sintering pressure profile analysis by using correlation and canonical correlation
Issue Date: 1997
Abstract: Since the sintering operation contains a significant random component, correlation and canonical correlation are proposed to analyse bed pressure profile and its relationship with the feed. These statistical tools are tested by using a large set of data from sintering pot experiments with manganese ores and coke fines. In general, the experimental results agree well with the known behaviour of the sintering process, namely by emphasising the roles of water and coke in sinter bed permeability. Further, some guidelines are suggested for adequate use of correlation and canonical correlation.
