dc.description.abstractThis paper describes the methodology followed in the development of a detailed numerical study of the dynamic behavior of the new pedestrian arch bridge of Guarda, in Portugal, in order to predict the levels of vibrations induced by pedestrians and make a preliminary design and efficiency analysis of tuned mass dampers to control the lateral and vertical structural response.
