Title: Multi-cast Authentication Framework for Distributed Control Systems based on IEC 61499

Abstract: Industrial control system is a general term thataddresses several types of control systems, including supervisorycontrol and data acquisition systems, distributed control systems,Programmable Logic Controllers and etc. There is no doubt thatprotecting PLCs from cyber-attacks is very important as theydirectly control industrial processes. In critical infrastructure,any successful attack on PLC could be as serious problemparticularly in DCS. In this paper we approach an authenticationsolution based on cryptography to avoid unauthorized accesses inICS.
