Entre o plano e o declive, EAPA

Abstract

Inspired by the work developed for the course of Estudos Avançados em Projecto de Arquitectura of the Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto, the project focus on the Fontaínhas area, in the city of Porto, an area with great architectural complexity in the historic context, urban and in transformation. The dissertation is divided into two chapters, HISTORICAL-CRITICAL and CRITICAL- PROJECT. The first focuses on an analysis and historical reflection of the territory, and the second, a foray to an urban proposal. The issues that are BETWEEN THE PLAN AND THE SLOPE (ENTRE O PLANO E O DECLIVE), focus on the city at two elevations, in construction in and on the slope, the pre-existence, the heritage, the continuity of the urban mesh at its end, the unresolved.
