Abstract: | The French Comedy La Cage Dorée (produced by the luso descendant Ruben Alves, 2013) success seems to be mainly due to its clichés of Portuguese epics in Paris, and its miseries may not have been underlined enough. Thus, under this apparently naif portrait an intriguing painting of Portuguese immigrants French dis-integration may really be hiding, which is the aim of this essay, on one hand, to bring out and, on the other one, to clarify, by questioning comparative critical common denominators of the two countries. |
Description: | Le succès de la comédie française réalisée par le luso-descendant Ruben Alves, La Cage Dorée (2013), semble reposer sur ses clichés dépopée lusitanienne à Paris sans que ses malheurs aient été assez relevés. Or, sous ce portrait apparemment naïf peut très bien se dissimuler une troublante peinture des immigrés portugais et de leur dés-intégration française que cet essai tente de déchiffrer, dune part, et dexpliciter, de lautre, à partir de la remise en question comparée des dénominateurs communs critiques des deux pays. |
