| Abstract: | Over the last decade, the scientific and political agenda has emphasized the importance of Cultural and Creative Industries as priority bets on local, regional, national and European development, because the sectors involving these industries have a number of competitive advantages. Thus, in this article, we analyze the response of the Northern Region to the challenge of culture and creativity embodied in the Cluster of Creative Industries emerging from 2008. This analysis will be guided by an approach to cultural and creative dynamics available in the Northern Region and in the Metropolitan Area of Porto, serving up statistical and documentary information. The focus is still a prospective analysis of critical factors in terms of sedimentation of that cluster, but also a perspective on future developments of enhancement of knowledge and constitution of vibrant atmospheres based on creativity and culture important axes on identity and territorial affirmation.. |
| Description: | A agenda científica e política tem vindo ao longo da última década a salientar a importância das Indústrias Culturais e Criativas enquanto apostas prioritárias de desenvolvimento local, regional, nacional e europeu, uma vez que os setores que envolvem essas indústrias apresentam uma série de vantagens competitivas. Assim, neste artigo, pretendemos analisar a resposta da Região Norte ao desafio da cultura e criatividade materializado no Cluster das Indústrias Criativas emergente a partir de 2008. Esta análise será orientada por uma abordagem das dinâmicas culturais e criativas existentes na Região Norte e na Área Metropolitana do Porto, servindo-se de informação estatística e documental. O enfoque é ainda de análise prospetiva em termos de factores críticos de sedimentação do referido Cluster, mas ainda de perspectivas de evolução futura no tocante à potenciação de conhecimento e constituição de atmosferas vibrantes fundadas na criatividade e na cultura, eixos determinantes de afirmação identitária e territorial. |
