Title: Alfonso de Dinis de Lisboa : percursos de um filósofo, médico, teólogo, tradutor e eclesiástico do século XIV
Issue Date: 2014-01-23
Abstract: There is very little information available on most of the medieval Portuguese academic masters. Their itinerancy through European universities and even through the sciences is one of their most distinctive features. This article collects the available data on Afonso de Dinis of Lisbon († 1352), with particular emphasis on: 1) his academic career as a master of the Arts, Medicine and Theology in Paris; 2) the works that are attributed to him; 3) the characteristics of his translations and his particular interest in the work and thought of Averroës.
