EHL Campus - International Architecture Students workshop. Do processo ao projecto

Abstract

The theme of this dissertation is part of an International workshop for students of Architecture organized by the École Hôtlière at Lausanne (EHL) and the architectural firm contracted for the project of architecture. As an exercise in the Workshop we aim to develop and propose an increase of the existing school with the introduction of a large program as a training hotel, a new sports hall and new accommodations for students (Student Residence). So the dissertation is based on the development of the well-known workshop which seeks to enunciate a look over the space and on the pre-existing buildings from a reflection on the place. We pretend that this may be a kind of personal foray on the process and work methodology. The method of projecting in architecture functions as an essential basis of architectural reflection. It is precisely from this process that aims to develop dialectic between man, process and work. We conclude the dissertation topic with the presentation of the final proposal.
