Contribuição para o estudo das implicações no clima local gerados pela construção de uma barragem

Abstract

Douro's river dams and impoundments are a good example, of how scientific ignorance about the environment, can cause enormous economic and social costs. Our aim is to characterize Douro's basin from a climatological point of view, in order to predict how these dams can produce abrupt and discontinuous modifications in some climatological parameters. Changes at the climatological levei, will affect the energy production, navigability and the unique conditions for some agriculture products of this valley.
