Title: Sociobiologia de teorias da cognição : apreciação filosófica
Issue Date: 2012-11-14
Abstract: This paper analyses the implications of Wilson sand Lumsden's soci'obiologie theory - in its recent version (relations between genes and mind) - over the traditional theories of cognition. Sociobiology is focused as an evolutionary epistemology and in its frame are compared - about problems like preformism and epigenesis - Wilson and J. P. Changeux's thesis. The coevolution of genes and culture is introduced as an element to be considered in the Chomsky-Piaget debate. Popper's evolutionary epistemology is also questioned from the premises of socio-biologic theory. Finally scientific knowledge is assumed as being a typical example of defiance to the power of the genes
