| Title: | Aimé Césaire et Ina Césaire et le béché originel d'être noir |
| Issue Date: | 2014-01-29 |
| Abstract: | The author attempts to analyse the meaning of negre and nigritude in Aime Cesaire's work: in line with Leopold Senghor, this is understood as a «new transracial humanism». In the second part of this article, the A. examines some of the aspects of Ina Cesaire's theatre: although sparing in its use of metaphor, this theatre is centred emblematically upon the aesthetics of negritude. |
