dc.description	A presente dissertação apresenta o projecto de uma biblioteca-ponte para a povoação chilena de Coya realizado no atelier "Biblioteca del Siglo XXI". Este é o resultado da oportunidade suscitada pelo processo de intercâmbio para a Pontificia Universidad Católica, em Santiago do Chile. Partindo dos temas lançados durante a realização do projeto, é construído um argumento alargado que pretende definir a relação entre Cidade e Escola, bem como o campo seu campo intersticial. Uma é vista através da outra. Fazer da Cidade uma Escola é a análise do espaço urbano como um lugar de aprendizagem e integração. Fazer da Escola uma Cidade é o entendimento do espaço da aprendizagem como um microcosmos.
dc.description.abstract	The following dissertation presents a project for a library-bridge in a chilean village named Coya. The project is based on a practical exercise developed during the exchange programme of the architecture study carried out in the Pontificia Universidad Católica, in Santiago do Chile. Building on the themes launched during the course of the project, a broad point a view is constructed which attemps on defining the relationship between the City and the School, as well as its interstitial field. One is understood through the other. Shaping the City as a School is the analysis of urban space as a place of learning and integration. Shaping the School as a City is the understanding of the learning environment as a microcosm.
