Um caminho de projecto no Louriçal. Lugar, Memória, Identidade

Abstract

The following dissertation took has a starting point a project that has been developed throughout the years for a family estate in the center of Louriçal, in Portugal. Naturally, during its conception, a lot of care was given to the subjects of "place" and "identity", but in an almost unconscious way. The project thus becomes a pretext to further develop such ideas, to further inquire the body of architectural theory and research. Curiously enough, throughout the development of this theoretical validation of an already existing project, the majority of the ideas where set to stone, so to speak, but a few where revealed as weak, and so abandoned. It is not our premise to emphasize which changes took place before or during the dissertation's development but rather allow the selected themes of "Place", "Memory" and "Identity" to gain protagonism and relevance.
