This paper presents a methodology to obtain transitionalobjects' shapes by a physics-based simulation. Given two2D/3D images of different objects or of the same object atdifferent instants, using the Finite Element Method twomodels are built, and the Lagrange's equation is solved tosimulate the involved deformation. We used andcompared two different finite elements to build eachobjects' model: the Sclaroff's isoparametric element andthe linear axial element.
