Taking advantage of the existence of a few traditional masonry 1-2 storey buildings abandoned after the 1998 Azores earthquake, several in situ tests were performed in various cases. Static cyclic loads were applied at the top level of these buildings, mainly in the out-of-plane direction and in-plane direction in just one case. The behaviour was assessed resorting to a detailed instrumentation system that also contributes to control the hydraulic devices. Description of the test system and presentation of a few results complement this chapter.
