O Retábulo do «Viaje dela Terra Sancta» (Saragoça, 1498) : uma peregrinação interior aos lugares evangélicos e a representação de deus uno e trino

Abstract

The work Peregrinationes in Terram Sanctam by Bernhard von Breydenbach (?-1497), dean of Mainz, and translated into Spanish by Martín Martínez de Ampiés, was published on the 16th January 1498 in Zaragoza, at Paul Hurus' printing house. This edition has the particularity of illustrating the evangelical places described on the 2nd part of the book, by means of woodcut prints. There are representations of God on some of them, which the author analyses in detail on this paper.
