dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to characterize the products of deterioration of concrete by petrographic methods. Samples from seven concrete structures as well as three samples produced in laboratory tests were studied. The external evidence of deterioration of the structures were confirmed by petrographic microscope and analysis by scanning electron microscope / spectrometer energy dispersion lead to the identification of alkali-silica gel, trona, ettringite, gypsum and thaumasite as reaction products
