Title: A margem do rio Minho entre Melgaço e Monção: alguns aspectos do património geológico
Issue Date: 2010
Abstract: The Minho's river-side is characterized for abundant joints mainly in granitic lithologies. Small spots of metassediments and sedimentary formations exist, fluvial terraces and alluviums. The fluvial phenomena, associated to the tectonic and the lithology, are responsible for the Geodiversity. Thus, the Geologic Heritage congregates rock outcrops, faults and other discontinuities, sedimentary deposits, fishing artefacts which influence the river dynamics, sedimentation, meanders and structures of erosion. The Geoconservation is basic for the sustainable and convenient use of this patrimony
