| Abstract: | It's known the polysemic sense of the word "Academy". We will try to understand how those several branches can be explained by a common root: the Academy founded by Plato, in Akademos' garden. The Academy (Plato's Academy and the Academies of the Modern Age, in general) is studied, not as a passive institution but an active strategy, unsatisfied with the political power, although often used by it. And it'‘s that root, in brief, that academies must be faithful. |
