In face of the new contexts where the information managers and professionals develop their activity, it is discussed the traditional view that governs professional training and education, as well as its inadequacy to the defeats put by the informational reality of our days. Afterwards, it is presented the E-TERM (European Training in Electronic Records Management) Project – a training course of continuous education – as an example of a new perspective. This course aims to contribute for a renewed education of those people who deal with information into the scope of any organization (archivists, information managers, computer people), but also to the information producers inside such organizations (managers, administrative people, technicians, etc.).pt_PT
