Entre o treino e o ensino: contributos da experiência como treinador para a eficácia pedagógica em Educação Física

Abstract

The Professional School Placement provides the opportunity to experience, in the first person, the complexity and responsibility inherent to the practice of teaching Physical Education, serving as the culminating stage of academic training for future teachers. This Professional School Placement Report reflects the work developed within the Master's Degree in Teaching Physical Education in Primary and Secondary Education, carried out at Escola Básica e Secundária Dr. Ângelo Augusto da Silva, highlighting the learning experiences, challenges, and strategies adopted throughout an academic year marked by high demands, responsibility, and both personal and professional growth. Throughout this report, I aim to highlight the importance of Physical Education, as well as the role of planning and its practical implementation, while also reflecting on my participation in school-based projects relevant to my professional development. At the same time, I underline the differences between the roles of coach and teacher, recognising that, although they share common dimensions, teaching requires a broader, more intentional intervention oriented towards the holistic development of each student. Finally, the report also includes a research study focusing on the analysis of differences in the perception of pedagogical effectiveness between Physical Education teachers with and without coaching experience, deepening the understanding of the impact of these experiences on teaching practice.
