Pelos Bastidores da Gestão dos Eventos de Desporto: Estágio Profissionalizante no Futebol Clube do Porto

Abstract

This internship report was developed in the scope of the 2nd year of the 2nd cycle in Sports Management at the Faculty of Sports of the University of Porto, describes and reflects on the activities developed during this internship, held in the Sports Planning and Management department of Futebol Clube do Porto. The work developed was focused on supporting the planning and organization of games in the club modalities, mainly Handball, Basketball, Football (Under 19) and Roller Hockey in the main categories and aimed at learning and developing knowledge ans skills, directly and indirectly, related to Sports Management. This document is organized in seven parts. The first, "The Introduction", aims to make a concise synthesis of the object of the report, contextualize the internship, expose initial expectations and systematize its structure. The second, the "Context of the Internship", contemplates the opportunity of the internship, the determination of the objectives and its planning. The third, the "Institutional Context", reveals the characterization of the institution where the master's student was inserted. The fourth, the "Theoretical Contextualization", corresponds to the literature review of the themes addressed thoughout this period. The fifth, the "Professional Practice Realization", reports and describes the activities carried out that marked the student's experience as na intern manager. The sixth, the "Critical Reflection and Acquired Skills", reflect not only, on all practice and experiences during the internship, but also on the skills acquired. This report ends with the "Final Considerations and Future Perspectives". In a conclusive way, it can be said that the present report exceeded the initial expectations, given the intervention in the planning of the diferente phases of large national and international events which endowed the trainee with increased and valuable knowledge and skills for his professional future in the field of the Sports Management.
